Easy-to-make Bone Broth Recipe!

Below is an easy-to-make bone broth recipe that is packed full of essential nutrients. I highly recommend this for days when treatment side-effects are especially strong such as nausea and mouth sores. Feel free to tweak and tailor it to your liking!

✔ 2–3 lbs organic, grass-fed beef bones or pasture-raised chicken bones (can also use turkey or fish bones)
✔ 1 medium onion, quartered
✔ 2–3 carrots, chopped
✔ 2–3 stalks celery, chopped
✔ 4 cloves garlic, smashed
✔ 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (helps extract nutrients from the bones)
✔ 1 tsp sea salt (adjust to taste)
✔ 1 tsp black peppercorns (optional)
✔ 1 tsp turmeric (optional, for extra anti-inflammatory benefits)
✔ 1–2 bay leaves
✔ 10–12 cups filtered water
✔ Fresh herbs (like thyme, parsley, or rosemary) – optional, added at the end for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bones:

    • If using beef bones, roast them at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes to enhance flavor. Skip this step for chicken, turkey, or fish bones.

  2. Slow Simmer:

    • In a large stockpot or slow cooker, add all ingredients and cover with filtered water.

    • Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a low simmer.

    • Skim off any foam that rises to the top in the first hour.

  3. Cooking Time:

    • Chicken/turkey bone broth: 12–24 hours

    • Beef bone broth: 24–48 hours

    • Fish bone broth: 6–12 hours

  4. Strain & Store:

    • Remove large bones and vegetables, then strain broth through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth.

    • Store in glass jars in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

How to Use Bone Broth for Healing:

✔ Drink 1–2 cups daily as a warm, soothing drink.
✔ Use as a base for soups, stews, or sauces.
✔ Blend with turmeric and coconut milk for an extra healing boost.
